On January 23 in an exciting match up of CIAA rivals, Saint Augustine's College toppled Bowie State 75-71. After trailing most of the first stanza the Bulldogs tied it up at 29-29 before halftime.

In the second half, freshman guard Bryan Wilson kept the Bulldogs in the game on laser-sharp shooting off the bench. Wilson finished with 15 points shooting an incredible 83% from downtown. Wilson and Crews were the only Bulldogs to score in double-digits.

The Bulldogs missed a string of critical free throws late in the second half, but kept the game close with tough defense. Bowie State shot an abysmal 50% from the charity stripe.

On Monday, the Bulldogs beat the Shaw University Bears 77-66. Senior Forward Duke Crews led Bowie State with 20 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks.

Bowie State will face Elizabeth City State University on January 28 at the A.C. Jordan Arena. Then in non-conference play, the team takes on Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on January 30.
