On Sunday July 13th, the Jamaica Promotional Company (J.P.C.) will be hosting the second annual 'Jamaica Day Outdoor Reggae Festival'. The organizers are encouraging everyone to come out with their families and enjoy a day of exciting and therapeutic performances that are geared towards all genres. The festival will be featuring reggae artists locally and internationally, also four reggae bands will be performing. The artists who are slated to appear on Sunday July 13th are: Leroy Sibbles from the Heptones, Professor Nuts, Tinga Stewart, Mr. Easy, Sugar Minnot, Frankie Paul and a surprise guest star! The backing band for the artists will be the New Kingston band from N.Y.C., the other bands are the 'I-Ternal' from Virginia, 'Jah Works' from Baltimore and 'Storm Reggae Band' from the M.D./D.C. area.
The festival will be held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds located at 1450 General Hwy, Crownsville, M.D. 21310. Gates will be opened at 12 noon, Showtime at 3 p.m. Advance admission is $30, children 12-15 yrs of age, $15, children under 12 yrs of age are free. Higher prices will be charged at the gate.
