The 2nd annual I-95 Kick-Off Classic showcased the regions best high school football teams. The games were played September 1-3 at Bowie State University in Bowie, MD and at Morgan State University in Baltimore.

Friendship Collegiate Academy defeated Mount Saint Joseph 18-12. Calvert Hall (Baltimore) dominated St. John's (DC) 35-18. On Friday, September 2, Dr. Henry Wise HS outscored Franklin HS 16-12. Gilman Day School scorched Oscar Smith HS (VA) 51-27.

On Saturday, September 3, eight teams matched up at Hughes Memorial Stadium at Morgan State University. Patterson HS beat Archbishop Curley 20-13. DeMatha HS (Hyattsville) defeated Loyola Blakefield Prep 24-20. Westlake HS edged Urbana HS 21-20.

In the ‘Battle of the Dunbars', the Poets of Baltimore took on the Crimson Tide of DC in the last game of the night. The Crimson Tide found few answers for the Poets stifling defense, managing a measly 75 yards of total offense. Dunbar (Baltimore) led the Tide 22-8 in the fourth before an on-field incident incited a mini-riot. The officials called the game 22-8.
