Clark scores 27, BSU defeats Washington Adventist, 93-90

On Saturday night, February 25, Bowie State's senior class went out with a bang, defeating Washington Adventist 93-90 in a shootout at AC Jordan Arena.
The teams combined for 105 points in the first half and the Shock hit 60-percent from downtown.
"[The Shock] have a really good point guard and a really good big guy," Bowie State head coach Darrell Brooks said after the game. "They did a terrific job, but our guys just held on."
Jamie Newton scored 27 points for Washington Adventist and forward Marcus Coleman added a game-high 35 points including a 4-for-4 shooting performance behind the arc.
"I don't think that we defended as well as we could," said Bowie State senior point guard Darren Clark, "I give credit to [Washington Adventist]. They're a real scrappy team."
Washington Adventist led 43-37 late in the first half, when the Bulldogs went on run to tie the game at 44. BSU took a narrow 54-51 lead into the locker room at the half.
BSU capitalized on Washington Adventist's mistakes, scoring 23 points off of turnovers.
The game saw 21 lead changes and 13 ties in the thriller.
