As the Wake Forest Demon Deacons stepped on the field to face Navy in the inaugural Eagle Bank Bowl at RFK Stadium on Saturday, December 20, 2008 they were considered the underdogs. Navy beat the Demon Deacons earlier this season. With a crowd of 28,777 watching the game at RFK Stadium, Navy jumped out to an early lead. For the first two quarters it seemed as Navy was going to walk away with an easy victory, it wasn't until late in the second quarter that the Demon Deacons first scored. After their first score, the Demon Deacons didn't let up they went on to sink the Navy's battleship 29-19.
